Flash preloaders are the starting point for any major animation. If you require loading time for a flash object, you had better make a preloader. There are a lot of unique preloaders out there like filling up a beer glass for a brewery or making a rocket take off. I learned how to do them just by googling and using free resources I found. I would say these are not key elements, but they can definitely add a little pizzazz.
