This is my first little gadget for all of you out there. I absolutely hate the way that content management systems treat flash. I don't know why i need a plugin to make my flash look right in every browser. So I decided fine I will create my own. After viewing a few dozen models I decided that my need was a little more custom. I also do not want to pay for a subscription service or even just to buy it. Call me cheap, but if I can make, I might as well challenge myself. So here it is. A beautiful, in my opion, custom Flash based mp3 Player. It uses a very simple line of code to call upon the mp3 files and run them. One line of simple code. <play>path/to/file/sample.mp3*path/to/file/sample.mp3*path/to/file/sample.mp3</play> It is that easy. *Note* You must replace the angle brackets <> with {} in order for it to work. Here is an example...
Remember this is a very early version 0.2 Beta* so please hang with me. Emails and Comments are great appreciated as well. Download Joomla Plugin Here - It is only 54kb so it won't hog any room. Download The Complete Source Code Here. - It is 157kb so it is rather small as well. If you love it and would like to buy me a Mt. Dew to keep me up late working on this please donate anything you can. The PayPal link is on the side. I actually made this beat with a great program called Jam Studio. You can get a 10 day free trial and I highly recommend it. *Update 0.2 * I have added another skin to download.
You can get the complete source code including fla here, and you can get the plugin here. Remember - you have to rename the .swf files to exclude the green_meter in the name. The final files should look like the original. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Update 0.5 * I have added 5 more very very simple skins. This is just in case you can not do flash and you wanted different colors. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BIG BIG BIG NEWS. I am creating the play list - well fixing bugs of what is left to be done. The idea is for it to function the same as it is now, but with a play list and when you click the track/title it plays that song....Sound good? Update
